Founder & CEO

Previously, he served as executive producer, producer, and chief financial officer at Dark Matter Studios from 2013 to 2022. During this time, he invested in and produced several films, including the award-winning Blood and Glory (Modder en Bloed), as well as Discreet, Leading Lady, and The Unfamiliar. His upcoming projects, Forever Young and Young Gun, are currently in post-production. Before diving into film and media full time, Barend spent eight years in London’s investment banking world as an assistant vice-president at Barclays Capital, Private Equity Finance.

Diandra Nell is a South African-born filmmaker whose journey began in front of the camera. With extensive on-set experience, culminating in roles like Assistant Directing, Production Coordinating and being Production Manager on ITV’s Invisible , shaped both her creative and logistical expertise. A Silwerskerm Best New Actor nominee, she thrives on collaborative storytelling.
