At Bystorm Pictures we believe in the transformative power of stories. Be it those we tell each other around camp fires, or the stories that transform an entire generation. We are the tales we tell and those we allow ourselves to be moved by. Our mission is to tell such stories - those that change us, inspire us and transcends, removing borders, divides and differences and make us all but one thing - human.
Production
We get involved anywhere from the script development phase of high-end film and television productions, and through to the production . . . .
Post Production
. . . and to the post production phase, including film scoring, sound design, picture and audio post and final delivery of tales must-be-told.
Founder
Barend Kruger is the founder and CEO of ByStorm Pictures. Formerly, he worked as Executive Producer, Producer and Chief Financial Officer at Dark Matter Studios from 2013 to 2022. He invested, executive produced, and produced several films, including the award-winning BLOOD AND GLORY (MODDER EN BLOED), as well as DISCREET, LEADING LADY, THE UNFAMILIAR, and have films FOREVER YOUNG and YOUNG GUN in post-production. Before his full-time involvement in the film and media industry, Barend spent eight years working in London’s investment banking sector as an Assistant Vice-President at Barclays Capital, Private Equity Finance.
